Khanyi Mbau has finally popped the balloon she's been carrying for more than nine months.

Mbau gave birth to a bouncing baby girl in the afternoon on Christmas day at a private hospital in Johannesburg.

The baby's name has been changed from Prince to Princess because the baby is a girl, not a boy as the mother had anticipated.

She weighed 3kg at birth and it was a normal birth for our very own Paris Hilton.

Nelisiwe Mthembu, 15, Mbau's stepdaughter, said: "We are delighted to have an additional member in our family. We can't wait for Princess to come home."

Mbau and Princess will be discharged from hospital on Friday morning.

Actress Mbau and her millionaire husband, Mandla Mthembu, were reluctant to give the media even a glimpse of the newest member of their family.
