Graveyard shift cannot faze Sammy T

In case you've been wondering, Sammy T, the former Metro FM DJ, is now hosting a night show at 94.7 Highveld Stereo.

Since leaving Metro, Sammy has kept a low profile.

But I don't understand why they give an experienced DJ such as him a night slot.

What a waste. It's a fact that 80percent of people are asleep between 10pm and 1am.

Still as sharp as a razor, his show is between 10pm and 1am on Friday and Saturday nights.

The music he plays is too good to be played at that time of the night. His show is vibey, funky and full of life.

He rocks and has the right voice for radio.

Sammy T plays a lot of local house sounds, international music, R&B, rock and pop music.

As an experienced DJ he really knows how to mix music. His playlist is very interesting. Sammy T plays hit after hit and you can be forgiven for thinking you are in a club.

You really feel the vibe of his show. He has a passion for radio broadcasting as well as music.

Since Sammy T belongs to the old school of DJs, he definitely knows how to talk to his listeners, who usually call in to send dedications.

At 1am Sammy T still sounds fresh and energetic, as if he had just got to work.
