Top musicians will be performing at a fun-filled day for the whole family on December 26.
African Musicians Against HIV and Aids (Amaha), in partnership with the SABC, will host the public broadcaster's Amaha family picnic at Florida Lake, near Johannesburg, on the day after Christmas.
The picnic is a fund-raising event to benefit child-headed households
"We are happy to have the public broadcaster in the forefront of this good cause," Doc Shebeleza, chairman of Amaha, said yesterday.
"We urge members of the public to come forward and support this campaign. We are doing this to benefit the multitude of children who need help.
"It is going to be a fanfare day and I urge people to bring along their cooler bags and braai stands. Parents should bring their children to have fun with us. The line-up of artists caters for young and old," he said.
The proceedings start at 9am and the line-up of musicians includes Bongo Maffin, Stimela, Rebecca Malope, Malaika, Solly Moholo, Khanya, Doc Shebeleza, Arthur, Kabelo, Teargas, Ihashi elimhlophe and Maru a Pula.
Tickets are available from Computicket and at Shoprite-Checkers stores at R60, but will cost R70 at the gates.
