The South African under-23 national soccer side have recalled the Jomo Cosmos duo of Calvin Kadi and Joseph Macala to the team.

Barney Kujane, project manager of the team, said Kadi and Macala will accompany the Olympic soccer side on their tour to Ghana.

Coach Steve Komphela and his technical staff are using the tour to sharpen the team for the All Africa Games and Beijing Olympic qualifiers in February.

The team leaves for Accra on Tuesday. They will play two games on December 28 and 31 before returning home the following day.

"I had a chat with Jomo [Sono, owner-coach of Cosmos], he did not have a problem in releasing the two boys to join us for the tour to Ghana," said Kujane.

Kadi and Macala will go to the under-23s' camp after Saturday's Lucky Mhlathe benefit match at Boipatong Stadium in Sedibeng.

Kujane confirmed that Ajax Cape Town's Bryce Moon is also a late inclusion in the team marred by several withdrawals.

Those who have withdrawn from the original list are Lerato Chabangu (Mamelodi Sundowns) and England-based Clive Moyo-Modise (Rochdale). Earlier in the week, Komphela roped in Ajax's Clifford "Robot" Ngobeni to the team.
