An ATM was blown open at a Durban petrol station yesterday morning.

Senior Superintendent Phindile Radebe said commercial explosives were used in the blast.

According to unconfirmed reports, the robbers made off with R10000 from a Standard Bank ATM at an Engen garage.

The blast brings to 46 the number of ATMs targeted in the past two years - reportedly at the hands of an organised gang. - Sapa
