Speedster Shaun Pollock made history on Saturday afternoon by becoming the first South African and only the tenth international cricketer to take 400 Test wickets.

Pollock reached this milestone on the second day of the first Test against India when Rahul Dravid edged a Pollock delivery to wicketkeeper Mark Boucher. Pollock's teammates raced to congratulate him, and the sparse crowd at the Wanderers gave him a standing ovation.

His achievement was a silver lining for South Africa on a day when the Proteas achieved another milestone - their lowest Test total since readmission to international cricket. They were all out for 84 runs in just 25 overs and one ball. - Sapa
