How do I prove I am faithful?

I desperately need your help. I have been married for six years and I have never cheated on my husband, even before we were married. The problem is that he is convinced I have cheated on him.

I desperately need your help. I have been married for six years and I have never cheated on my husband, even before we were married. The problem is that he is convinced I have cheated on him.

Before I met him I had quite a few male friends - but that is all they were - friends. I get along much better with men than I do with women. I think this is because I grew up with six brothers.

When we were still dating, he arrived at my flat one night without letting me know he was coming, and I was at home watching a video with one of my male friends. He was convinced there was something happening because he says it is romantic to watch videos together.

And that's it. That is the only "incident" and six years down the line, he still brings it up and uses it as an excuse to be insecure.

How do I prove to him that he is the only one, and always has been?

Frustrated, Hillbrow

Eeya, sissie, you are married to one very childish man, and one who is possibly projecting his own inadequacies on to you.

The fact is you have been faithful, no matter what he believes. He is acting like a paranoid fool, and the reason could be that he doubts his own ability to remain faithful. Have you asked him this?

You can't prove your loyalty to him. It is just one of those things he believes, or does not. If he can't, then perhaps he should get professional help to sort out his issues about trust. This is not about you, it is about him and his problems and issues.

And asking to prove that you have been faithful is about as silly as asking you to prove you drank a glass of water at noon on February 3 last year. Get the point?
