The Freedom of Expression Institute says the secrecy surrounding the tribunal investigating allegations levelled at University of KwaZulu-Natal officials is unacceptable.
Professor Pumela Msweli-Mbanga charged vice-chancellor Malegapuru Makgoba and chairman Vincent Maphai with sexual harassment and gender discrimination.
Both men have denied the accusations. Makgoba has taken a leave of absence and Maphai has resigned. - Mary Papayya
