Every year the world's six top football teams get to play in a tournament that decides who's the best of them all for the season.

Known as the Toyota Fifa Club World Cup, the tournament is under way in Japan and this edition features odds-on favourites Barcelona, Mexico's America, South American champions Internacional, Africa's Al-Ahly, Australia's Auckland City and South Korea's Chonbuk Motors.

This year has been kind of historic for Africa as Al-Ahly became the first team from the continent to win a Club World Cup match when they accounted for the Auckland City part-timers 2-0 last Sunday.

Highlights of this game and other action from around Africa will be screened on the African Soccer Television show on SABC1 Sport's Laduma programme on Sunday at 3pm.

The other highlights feature the African Under-17 Championships "road to Togo 2007" second round, second leg matches that saw South Africa draw 2-2 with their Zimbabwean neighbours. Tunisia accounted for Senegal 4-2 on penalties after a 1-1 aggregate score.

In league fixtures, the derby between arch-rivals Orlando Pirates and Kaizer Chiefs that ended in a 1-all stalemate takes center stage with the result saving a number of people from blushes and robbing both clubs' supporters of festive season bragging rights.

Tunisian giants Esperance and CAF Champions League finalists CS Sfaxien played to a goalless draw in a Premier Soccer League match, while in Zimbabwe Mwana Africa were crowned CBZ Cup champions after accounting for Chapungu in a 1-0 win last Saturday.
