Lamontville Golden Arrows' recent victories over Maritzburg United and Jomo Cosmos have spurred them on in their effort to stave off relegation.
They will face another test when they host Orlando Pirates in a Castle Premiership game at Chatsworth Stadium on Sunday.
It will not be an easy assignment for Arrows whose opponents are also languishing at the bottom of the league table.
Arrows are second from the bottom with 11 points from 13 matches, while Pirates are third from the bottom with the same number of points from eight games.
This game could be a do-or-die battle as both sides will be fighting for maximum points.
Arrows' public relations officer Zweli Mzolo is confident they will bag the three points at home.
"We need a win to move away from this precarious position. The players, who have regained their confidence, are looking at their third consecutive win against Pirates," he said.
"There is a sign of positiveness in the team, our aim is to win all our games at home. We spoke to the players and they are aware of the danger the team is facing in the elite league, they have promised to deliver."
But it will not be easy for Abafana Bes'thende, who will be meeting a Buccaneers side struggling to find a winning formula. Pirates appointed Bibey Mutombo as technical director this week to instil discipline and professionalism in the team.
