Scouts flock to tourney

Bloemfontein Celtic and Black Leopards' technical staff have confirmed their attendance at the Manthatisi Football Tournament in Fouriesburg on Saturday and Sunday.

"We are blessed this year because Winnerspark also are coming to scout for talent," said Felicia Ntisa, chief organiser of the yearly development tournament.

Ntisa said the tournament will feature four top local clubs - Juventus, Eleven Experience, Real Madrid and Papillion.

Juventus play Experience in the first match at noon, while Madrid and Papillion clash in the second one at 3pm. The final will be played at 4pm on Sunday.

Steve Komphela, coach of the South African under-23s, will also attend the tournament, where he will give a motivational talk.

Meanwhile, 32 clubs are expected to participate in the annual Dona's Mates Seniors Football Tournament in Orange Farm from Saturday until December 31.

James Shabangu, tournament director, said registration is R900 a club.
