Brand new Miss SA Teen Zizo Beda, right, spent her first day as the most beautiful teenager in the country being interviewed and being coached by the Sun International team on how to carry herself.

But if the vivacious teenager thinks she will be able to spend the next few days relaxing back home in Idutywa, in the Eastern Cape, she is in for a surprise.

Her friends plan to welcome her back to East London with a big party.

It will be a double celebration for Beda because it will honour her for being judged the most beautiful teenager in the country and it will be her 18th birthday party.

"I have heard that my friends are planning a big party for me.

"I have been overwhelmed by congratulatory messages from the people back home. I have received countless messages from the church, from my school and from my friends.

"It has been an exciting experience so far. It really makes me feel good," she told Sowetan yesterday.

Beda's best friend, Akholiwe Ngceba, described the mood at home when Beda was announced as the winner of the Miss SA Teen pageant at Sun City.

"We were watching television and when she was declared the winner we all ran into the streets, screaming and dancing.

"It was total madness . It was raining but we didn't care.

"We never thought that anyone from Idutywa could win anything, let alone the Miss SA Teen title .

"Zizo is representing all of us here."
