Inevitably consumers will soon be embarking on a flurry of shopping activity in what is famously known as the Christmas rush.

Blame it squarely on the festive mood, which will prompt consumers to spontaneous bouts of drinking and eating binges that will drain many pockets, if not overwork the liver - talk about "liver pools".

It's as though the world has been waiting for this moment to release pent-up energy and tension built up over the past 11 months.

It's that time to swing along with the mood to avoid being swept away by the hurricane.
