Thousands of party lovers on Saturday thronged the Dorothy Nyembe Park in Dobsonville, Soweto, for the jamming in the park session.

The session, one of many, is organised by the Soweto Arts Festival 2006 in various parts of the township. The third yearly festival that runs until Sunday features, among others, film, theatre, music and arts.

Fun lovers of all sizes and shapes brought their dancing shoes, camping chairs, cooler boxes and braai packs and stands to enjoy the afternoon in the park.

Popular kwaito stars Kabelo, Amarobha, Mr Mawaza, Jub-Jub, Spuku, Trompies, 3Sum, Magesh, Skroof Masanza did what they do best when given the stage.

Kabelo, aka Bouga Luv, revved things up with his songs from his old and latest releases.

Not to be outdone, Tokollo "Magesh" Tshabalala, wowed the crowds with his latest dance performances.

Gay socialite group, 3Sum, also shook the park with their grand stage presence. Their music, savvy fashion sense and energetic dance moves were adored by the crowd and are sure to be the next best thing among township folk.
