Tomorrow the Sun City Superbowl will be turned into a world of glamour when the country's most beautiful girls grace its stages with confidence, grace and elegance, vying for a chance to be selected for the prestigious titles of Miss South Africa and Miss South Africa Teen.

This time it will be a double celebration because the two pageants will be held jointly, providing an entertainment-filled evening that will linger in the mind long after the event is over.

Lesego Botshepile Segopolo is one of the lucky few to compete for the Miss South Africa crown after going through a gruelling selection process.

The beauty from Bekkersdal Westonaria, Johannesburg, is not only brainy, but she is also confident that she will walk away with the title that has opened doors to the good life and ample business opportunities for many others before her.

The judges have the option to ask her questions either in English, Tswana, isiZulu or Afrikaans because she is fluent in all these languages.

"I am very excited about the competition. For me this was an opportunity to get to meet new people, to talk to different people and to also become exposed to new things," she says.

Lesego is a nationally recognised athlete who plays netball for the national under-21 squad. She also coaches netball.

Currently studying marketing, she aims to become a marketing director and researcher and to also get to the top with her netball career. She looks forward to representing her country at the highest level.

She was Miss Krugersdorp High School in 2004 and reached the top three in the Miss Western Gauteng Pageant.

Entertainment at the Sun City Superbowl will be provided by carefully selected musical luminaries.

Those scheduled to perform are Kabelo Mabalane, Hi5, The Bala Brothers, Brandon October, Dubula and Unathi Nkayi.

As with all previous pageants, fashion statements are likely to be made, and records broken in the process.

This will be especially so because design journalist Adam Levin has been roped in as fashion director.

Levin has personally selected 12 inspired South African fashion designers, all recognised for their signature collections, to create two totally different evening gowns.

The designers have concentrated on the youth of the Miss SA Teen contestants, bringing an innocence and cheekiness to their designs that truly dazzles. The Miss South Africa evening gowns illuminate their sensuality - classical, sophisticated, sexy and alluring.

Pure Hollywood glamour.

So If you are going to be part of this prestigious event, spend time when selecting your wardrobe because you don't want to feel out of place.

But if you are not going to make it, do not despair - you can watch all the proceedings on TV from the comfort of your home.

The two shows will be screened on SABC2 from 6.30pm to 8.30pm.
