Giving government scores is 'silly season'

The DA's recently released scorecard, which gave cabinet members poor performance ratings, was silly.

That was the cabinet's response yesterday.

On Wednesday, DA leader Tony Leon rated the government's performance at 4,3 out of 10 - down from last year's 4,5 out of 10.

Cabinet spokesman Themba Maseko said: "The silly season is upon us and with it come the scorecards by opposition parties.

"We will disregard [them] because our performance must, and will be, judged against the implementation of our programme of action and not on the wish lists of opposition parties."
