The awards, which are organised through a partnership between Sowetan , SABC, the national Department of Arts and Culture and the provincial Department of Sport, Arts and Culture , honour groundbreaking creators of literature.
This year's recipients of the awards will be in three categories, namely the South African National Poet Laureate Prize, the Literary Posthumous Awards and the South African Literary Lifetime Achievement Awards. - Sowetan Reporter
