Sowetan went to speak to several departments to find out what they could have done with so much moolah.

With this amount, the department of local government and housing could build 17450 housing units at a cost of R16000 each. The health department could provide at least four clinics, each costing R4million.

A total of 24 classroom blocks, each costing about R500000, four sports complexes each costing R3million, or six libraries at to the value of R2million each could have been built
