Orlando Pirates have a chance to avenge their cup defeat when they meet Santos in a Castle Premiership game at Greenpoint Stadium tonight at 8.

But Santos have other ideas, with stalwart defender Edries Burton saying they cannot wait to play the Buccaneers.

"They are concentrating on the derby while we're focusing on the league. We've never lost at home and we hope to collect the full points tomorrow night [tonight]," said Burton.

Players such as Erwin Isaacs, Thembile Kanono, Dipsey Selolwane and Jonathan Armogam will carry the Cape side's hopes on the night.

Said Bucs' spokesman Mickey Modisane: "The Santos game is as crucial as any league encounter."

Pirates welcome back Lehlohonolo Seema and Lucas Thwala from injury. Cavann Sibeko is back from suspension, but Isaac Chansa is still suspended.

lSipho Mthembu reports that Bidvest Wits will be minus first- choice goalkeeper Moeneeb Josephs when they take on SuperSport United at Milpark tonight at 8.

Josephs' absence opens the way for former United man Wendel Robinson to face his former teammates.

Robinson might not be the only ex-United player in the Wits lineup as Abraham Raselemane and Phil Evans have also become regulars.

United, who signed Ajax Cape Town's Bafana Bafana defender George Mofokeng yesterday, welcome back defensive midfielder Shane Poggenpoel, who missed their 5-1 win over Lamontville Golden Arrows.

"SuperSport are like a cornered snake. Our only chance at silverware is the league" said United spokesman David Skhosana.

"We have not lost at home and we are not going to allow SuperSport to break that record," said Wits' manager George Mogotsi.
