The much-awaited pageants of the year have finally arrived.
After three gruelling weeks of rehearsals the girls are ready to take to the stage.
The Miss South Africa and Miss Teen South Africa pageants will be held on Saturday at the Superbowl at Sun City.
The 24 girls who make up the two categories were selected from all over the country and will be vying for the coveted title.
The prize package for this year is over a million rand and includes a Land Rover and jewellery for the Miss SA winner and clothes, shoes and airtime for winners of both pageants.
Said this year's producer Mark West: "It is the biggest prize for a beauty pageant."
Among the judges will be Lucas Radebe, Noni Gasa, Roland Schoeman, Noleen Maholwana-Sanqu and Kerishnie Naicker.
