Limpopo Athletics Association (LAA) has organised a four-day training camp for its middle- and long-distance athletes, starting tomorrow.

LAA president Attlee Maponyane said 58 athletes from across the province will benefit from the camp which will be conducted by local coaches, led by LAA head of coaches, Steve Tladi.

"At LAA we always put development first and are doing everything possible to prepare our athletes for the new season," said Maponyane, who is also the director of sport at the University of Limpopo.

"The camp marks the end of our 2006 programme, but we urge coaches to keep their athletes busy during the festive season by organising events in their districts."
