Your newspaper broke the story that I was fired and lost my teeth. This is far from the truth.

To set the record straight, I have been part of the cast of Backstage for the last two years. It is something I undertook because I wanted to experience the daily grind of working on a soapie.I also thought it an exciting challenge to maintain the integrity of a character over a prolonged period. I had not done soapies in my many years as an actress. However, two years is enough and I yearn for something new. I strongly feel it is time for me to move on. I wish to state that I was not "fired", as reported. I resigned. A phone call would have been decent and fair, allowing me to give my side of the story.That is all water under the bridge now. The true, correct and factual story is: Tselane Tambo feels that the time has come to move on. We are living in the most exciting times in our history. There are opportunities in the film and TV industry for those who are not afraid to follow their dreams. I want to be one of those African women who are willing to be pioneers by finding new heights to scale. As for my teeth, I don't know what you mean.
