Spitting at God

A church is a place of worship, not war.

A church is a place of worship, not war.

Reports that a pastor was assaulted by members of his congregation at the Palmerton circuit of the United Methodist Church of SA near Lusikisiki, in the Eastern Cape, are disturbing.

The Reverend Mongezi Dlanjwa was beaten after he allegedly used foul language when a group of church members wanted the keys to the church and the mission house.

All hell broke loose between this group and another faction believed to be his supporters.

Guns came out blazing. A church elder was seriously injured and 23 people arrested.

This is a disgrace.

Resorting to such violent actions inside a church is like spitting at God Himself.
