Tension is mounting at a Limpopo radio station after the alleged suspension of two presenters and the deputy station manager for allegedly breaching the station's code of conduct.

Joel Rabaloyi, the manager of Sekgosese community radio station, yesterday allegedly suspended Justice Mokherere, who presented the Friday Morethetho programme, and David Mothetha, who hosted the afternoon current affairs programme.

The suspension of the two - for allegedly reporting to work while under the influence of alcohol - comes barely two weeks after the deputy station manager, Ngoako Maunatlala, was demoted to presenter for allegedly having a love affair with a subordinate.

Sources at the station told Sowetan that Rabaloyi had been keeping an eye on the suspended presenters for about a month.

They said this came after reports from members of the community and staff that the three were turning the station into a mockery with their conduct.

Contacted for comment yesterday, Rabaloyi refuted the allegations. He said he had no knowledge of the allegations levelled against his station.
