Six top black golfers will take part in the inaugural Coca-Cola Charity Championship at the Arabella Country Club near Hermanus, Western Cape, today and tomorrow.

Among them will be Omar Sandys, who played his heart out in the Limpopo Classic last weekend.

Sandys, who finished 21st in a field of 156, is on top of his game and should break into the top 20 soon.

With his enterprising display, Sandys won the hearts of a number of people in Limpopo and received an invitation to play in the Nelson Mandela Invitational at the Arabella course next week.

The other black golfers at the Charity Championship are Tangoona Charamba from Zimbabwe, Lindani Ndwandwe, James Kamte, John Bele and Thabang Simon.

Media manager Lali Stander said Sandys was playing well and stood a chance to win one of the biggest prizes on the Sunshine Tour.
