A senior member of the police investigating the alleged murder of a Limpopo pharmacist, Andrew Tladi, is expected to testify in the Middelburg circuit court today.

The trial resumes this morning after an adjournment on Tuesday after his widow, Kgomotso, pictured, submitted a confession relating to the murder.

She admitted having hired three hitmen at a fee of R150 000 each " to only scare" her husband to abandon his job in Limpopo and return to their home in Pretoria.

After her confession, the state has reduced its witnesses from 19 to two.

Kgomotso Tladi, Eva Sithole, Samson Mogalaka and Gilbert Makhobela have pleaded not guilty to charges including murder and kidnapping. Tladi was killed in December 2004.
