Sundowns' management has dangled a R4,25 million carrot in front of the team.
If the Brazilians scoop the coveted Telkom Knockout Cup, the club's players and technical staff will share the whopping prize money.
The side hosts Black Leopards in the quarterfinal of the lucrative competition at Super Stadium in Atteridgeville on Saturday at 3.45pm.
Sundowns' general manager Walter Kutumela said the incentive is intended to spur the players on to give their best both in the competition and the Castle Premiership.
"It's a brand new competition with a lot of money," said Kutumela.
"But we expect a tough game against Leopards although we beat them 3-0 at the same venue in a league game.
"Our wish is to be the first team in the elite league to engrave our name on this trophy, although it is not going to be easy."
Kutumela added that the players were highly motivated and were looking forward to winning the game.
Apart from Manqoba "Shakes" Ngwenya, who is still injured, Sundowns have a full team to tackle Lidoda Duvha.
In another Telkom Knockout Cup game, Orlando Pirates host Santos at Ellis Park Stadium on Saturday at 8.10pm.
Kaizer Chiefs will play Silver Stars at Royal Bafokeng Stadium on Sunday at 3.45pm.
The last Telkom Knockout Cup quarterfinal game will feature Ajax Cape Town against Moroka Swallows at Greenpoint Stadium in Cape Town on Wednesday at 7.30pm.
