Mthethwa said after her election that she would strive to create 100000 new and sustainable small and medium businesses over the next five years.

Mthethwa said she acknowledged that Nafcoc was challenged by a lack of unity.

Earlier in the day members of the Gauteng and KwaZulu-Natal branches protested at the organisation's offices in Sandhurst, Johannesburg, against what they called an election that was unconstitutional. - Sapa
