Please, stop messing with our children

I long for the days when our schools were havens where we learnt morals and how to live dignified lives.

I long for the days when our schools were havens where we learnt morals and how to live dignified lives.

Then came our new democracy, corporal punishment was abolished and kids were given too many rights and privileges and started questioning their teachers.

The result is that our schools have been turned into Sodom and Gomorrah.

Nowadays our children are like cash-in-transit guards because when they go to school in the morning we are never sure they will come back alive.

Our government now has a serious problem of its own making. Please [minister of education] Naledi Pandor, its our children you're messing with.

SA Democratic Teachers' Union, please interfere because enough damage has been done.
