Health needled by late payment

Health practitioners have reacted angrily to a move to have them struck off the roll for failing to pay their yearly fees.

The deadline for health professionals to pay their yearly fees was October 6 and at the time, fees for 11057 members were outstanding.

Percy Mahlati, the deputy director at the national health department, said members knew the law required them to pay their yearly fees.
