Boy in court for revenge murder

A 16-year-old boy is scheduled to appear in court after the revenge killing of a 21-year-old suspect in the fatal shooting of a peacemaker at the weekend.

The 17-year-old peacemaker was killed on Friday night while trying to separate his friend and a gunman who were quarrelling over his cousin. His alleged murderer was brutally killed hours later.

Welile Desmond Mabuza, 21, of Extension 19 Chris Hani Section, Embalenhle township in Secunda, was shot and stabbed numerous times, allegedly by friends and relatives of Wonder Magagula, 17, whom he shot dead on Friday night.

Mabuza was killed on Saturday afternoon in full view of Extension 18 residents, said the police. - McKeed Kotlolo
