Mpumalanga is fast becoming the province of entertainment -this time it's hosting Lekwa Gert Sibande Jazz at Standerton's Groot Draai Dam.

Among the artist scheduled to perform at the December festival are Tsepo Tshola, Stimela, Bongo Maffin, Mafikizolo, Shwi NoMthekala, Zama Jobe, Ray Phiri, Mathapelo, Kofifi, Solly Moholo and Mdu Masilela.

Fun-lovers will be introduced to Afro-pop group Mafikizolo's new album, Six Mabone.

Popular multi-platinum maskandi group Shwi NoMtekhala will also take the stage. The group's album Wangisiza Baba sold more than 430000 copies.

Young group Africano and Emalahleni will get a chance to perform in front of a big crowd.

Groups such as Stimela will be honoured for their contribution to South African music and their ambassadorial role in the province locals call the cultural heartland.

Prosper Mukaiwa, organiser of the festival, said half the proceeds will be donated to 10 home-based care groups.

Tickets are available at Computicket, Jet Stores and Shoprite Checkers.
