Buying online a simpler process
In order to buy you will first need to register as a buyer. This is a quick and easy process and should take you no longer than 60 seconds to complete.
You will need to choose a username and password, which you will use to log on to the site.
After registering you will need to enable your account by clicking on a link in an e-mail before you can log on.
To sell you must register as a seller, after first registering as a buyer. Registering as a seller involves entering a guaranteed form of payment, such as South African bank details or a credit card.
At the time of registering as a seller a debit of R10 will be made using your chosen payment method. This is credited to your bid-or-buy account and can be used towards your future bid-or-buy fees.
This is done to ensure authenticity of sellers as well as to confirm your payment details should you incur any fees.
Most categories on bid-or-buy do not incur any fees to list an item, but a percentage of between 3,5 percent and 5 percent is charged for successful sales. This means you can list items with no risk.
