Safa's top brass are expected to meet this week to map the way forward for Amajita after they bombed out of the 2007 African Youth Championships qualifiers.

The South African under-20 national soccer side were defeated 2-0 by Zambia in a return match at Independence Stadium in Lusaka on Sunday.

Zambia are through to the finals in Congo Brazzaville in January on a 3-2 aggregate win. They lost the first leg 2-1 in Johannesburg three weeks ago.

It will be the second time in a row that Amajita failed to qualify for the finals of the biennial continental tournament.

The South African side were shown an early exit by Makoanyane XI of Lesotho in the same competition two years ago.

Sowetan has learnt that Amajita have been invited to take part in a yearly soccer tournament in Germany in December.
