Maqhiza, a single mother of two, said she wanted to augment her salary when she decided to courier for Namaphansi.
She said Namaphansi is contracted to serve big companies such as Courier Direct, LXP and Bex.
Maqhiza delivered the goods as agreed, but Namaphansi has failed to pay her for the service she rendered.
The delivery was done by a driver she hired.
"I ordered my driver to stop the service because I have not been paid for two months," she said.
Maqhiza said she demanded payment from David Chikonde of Namaphansi, who issued her with a cheque of R6000.
"The cheque came with a special instruction that I should not deposit it until he told me so.
"I have waited long enough for his instruction and I cannot take it any longer," she said.
Chikondi, a manager at Namaphansi, acknowledged that he was indebted to Maqhiza.
He said he issued the worthless cheque because he, too, had not received his payment from Courier Direct, LXP and Bex for the service rendered since April this year.
"I am suing them," he said.
Chikondi said he will pay Maqhiza when he gets paid.
