Not just a basin!

Basin design is anything but basic. In recent years we’ve seen interior, product, industrial and architectural designers work together with bathroomware manufacturing companies to release ranges that provide aesthetic value to functional and essential products.

Italian designer Stefano Giovannoni is the man behind the Alessi range for Swiss bathroom brand Laufen. Focusing on soft lines, the Alessi One white wall-hung basin is affectionately named the “Tuna” as it mimics the gentle contours of a fish. You can find the Alessi range at Italtile.

Imported from Spain, Vanity Collage’s collection of McBath basins and vanities mustn’t be missed if you’re looking to make a statement in your bathroom. The design of the Ess basin combines elegance and convenience, while the Limón (translated as lemon) basin has a matte finish that works in contemporary, minimalist bathrooms. You can find the McBath collection at Vanity Collage.
