As the holidays come to an end, a survey from online affair service, AshleyMadison.com, revealed there was little festive cheer for wives, as cheating husbands spoilt their mistresses but scrimped on their spouses.

The survey, which questioned 2,135 actively-cheating husbands from across SA, revealed that adulterous males are 4 times more likely to buy their mistress a sex toy as opposed to their wife.

The results revealed husbands bought their wives practical gifts, gifts they “need” – those things they’ve been wanting all year but may not have been in the budget.  On the other hand they spoiled their mistresses with lavish gifts such as jewelry, lingerie, perfume and sex toys!

Sneaky men also opted to pay for their mistresses’ gifts in cash to avoid an incriminating paper trail, and some admitted that they weren’t looking forward to the festive period with their spouse and family, claiming they also saw their mistress for clandestine romance, and also embarked on no-strings attached holiday flings to pass the time.

“Our male members clearly got on the Naughty this past Festive Season,” says Noel Biderman, founder and CEO, AshleyMadison.com.

“Christmas is stressful at the best of times, but our members have found a way to balance their home life with their search for intimacy, romance or just a little Christmas spice.”
