Get out of BED

By now you’ve probably been bombarded with daily inspirational quotes and motivational emails from friends but the question is; have you learned anything from them?

What is it about the people behind those quotes that made them so great, made them worth listening to? And how can you as a normal Thabo, Tom or Tina reach your full potential?

It’s simple: Get out of B.E.D

Getting out of bed for me means lifting yourself out of the BLAME bed.

Failing to take responsibility for our faults or acknowledge accountability for our mistakes leads us straight to the ‘blame’ bed.

By taking responsibility we eliminate blame and focus our energies on what needs to be done to create a better and enjoyable life.

Get out of EXCUSES bed

We have so many reasons why we can’t succeed, why we can’t volunteer, why we can’t be involved in our community projects and why we have not done what we promised.

We are so used to excuses that we don’t even realize when we make them.

Wake up and give yourself reasons why you need to succeed, why you need to make a difference, why you have to excel in what you do and so on.

“Excuses change nothing, but make everyone feel better”- Mason Cooley. Get out of the excuses bed mu-Africa.

Lastly, Get out of the DENIAL bed

The truth is we’ve all been through hardships, challenges and tough situations in our lives and maybe we are currently facing hard times.

Denying that we sometimes need help, that we don’t know it all and that we are human stops us from making the change.

We will make mistakes along the way and what we ought to do is learn, re-learn and un-learn along the way.

We need to face the reality of our lives, take accountability and apply what we’ve learnt from our past.

Drug addicts or alcoholics often deny that they have a problem, we might deny that we need to get out of B.E.D but the first step to recovery is in admitting that one has a problem, a challenge, a mountain to climb.

So, get out of Blame, Excuses and Denial and pave the path like those you admire and those that make it happen.

Join the wagon and inspire positively.
