Bongiwe Gamede has been waiting for 12 years for Fairheads to give her her share of an inheritance.

But her wait and misery could soon be over as the trust company has undertaken to resolve her problem to her satisfaction.

Of the three offspring of the late Boy Gamede, Bongiwe is the only child who has not received a cent from the fund.

Gamede also accused Fairheads of not fulfilling their promises of building the family a house and paying for the children's school fees.

Her father died in 2000 while employed by Khuthala Mines.

Gamede claimed company representatives met the family after their father's death, promising to buy them a house, pay for their tertiary education and provide daily living expenses.

But Gamede said it was only her older sister and brother who received some money and was not the amounts Fairheads said they would give.

"Every time we complain they promise to look into the matter but to this day we haven't received any feedback," she said.

Frans Phakgadi the divisional head of NBC Holdings Group legal and compliance division, said they only started investigating the background details of this case last week.

He said some of the benefits were subsequently paid into the trust for and in respect of some of the beneficiaries.

Darlene van Dieman of Fairheads said he would personally oversee the investigation into the matter.

"We are confident that a favourable outcome will be reached in this matter" said Dieman.
