Having been crowned the sexiest man at Sowetan LIVE's Mzansi's Sexiest Big Reveal and at the Feather Awards, Nkululeko Tshirumbula has sure grabbed a lot of attention.

The Muvhango actor who prefers being called Nkuli says the trick is to remain humble and not let the attention get to one’s head.

“I think my humility over anything. I was boy who is born and raised in a humble family. I feel really blessed because it means that people have really favoured me this year."

“And for that I would like to say thanks to everyone and I dedicate my Feather Award and my Mzansis Sexiest Award to all of them,” said Nkuli.

He said that he has mastered the art of not being changed by fame but has however learned how to get it to work for him.

“I have always been a kasi boy and I will always remain that. But I use my street credibility to try and get me around certain things,” explained Nkuli.

After growing up in Attridgeville usually called Pheli in Pretoria; Nkuli says although he is now based in Johannesburg he always goes back at least once a month to spend a day with his friends.

“Because now I’m based in Joburg, I still try my utmost best at least once a month touch base with majita (the guys), chill with them, wash cars and if possible get into a taxi,” said Nkuli.

He made it clear that he does not go back to relax with his friends just to buy face and kill talks of him forgetting where comes from.

“I have always been a genuine person. I don’t try to pretend because I don’t like people pretending towards me,” he said.

Nkuli was shocked by the nomination of Mzansis Sexiest although it was one of the things he always wanted to achieve.

“Earlier in the year, I wrote down the things that I want. ‘God I want to be nominated as Mzansi's Sexiest, God I want to buy my first car’. It is just by God’s grace that 80% of the things I wrote down are coming true,” explained the excited Nkuli.
