DJ Black Coffee is set to return to SA with a bang after wrapping up his international tour.
The LaLaLa hitmaker's residency at Hï Ibiza in Spain, will come to an end next month and he will embark on an African music tour.
Called "Africa Is Not A Jungle" (Ainaj), the tour will kick off on November 10 at Altitude Beach Club in Fourways, Johannesburg. Ainaj will continue to pop up at festivals around the country such as the Kyalami 9 Hour, Rage Festival, H20, Fact Durban Rocks and Sun Met.
Outside of SA, tour dates in Lesotho, Mozambique, Angola and Uganda have also been confirmed. The tour will end in April. "Ninety percent of the music I play is made by South African artists but most of the songs aren't available; there's no record label structure [in South Africa] to release them," Black Coffee told Sowetan yesterday.
"I want to showcase some of this music, not just in Europe but also in South Africa, where these artists are still underground."
Supporting acts such as Da Capo, Culoe De Song, Kususa, Enoo Napa, Transmicsoul, Kid Fonque, Punk Mbedzi, Argento Dust, Themba and Julian Gomes are in the line-up.
