That Sho Madjozi reign just won’t let up.

The Tsonga rapper renowned for her gqom hits Dumi Hi Phone and Huku has secured a hot duet with Coldplay frontman Chris Martin for her upcoming debut album.

Although she didn’t want to give too much away, Sho Madjozi confirmed that she has already recorded her vocals for the song, with Martin on instrumentals.

According to Sho Madjozi the untitled song was recorded in April when Martin was in SA at her home studio.

Produced by KwaZulu Natal artist Muzi, she further revealed that the song is waiting for Muzi to put the finishing touches on it upon his return from his European tour.

Muzi is known for his critically-acclaimed album Afrovision, featuring OkMalumKoolKat and Langa Mavuso.

“The song is somewhere between my sound and Chris's sound. We are both going to surprise people with this banger,” she teased.

"It was just insane to find out that Chris was a fan of my music. When I found out how he knew of my music and me he said ‘we are all living on the same planet, using the same internet.’

“That really put things into perspective for me, and in that moment, more than ever I realised just how small the world is."

Martin and Sho Madjozi first met when they recorded the promo video for the forthcoming Global Citizen Festival at FNB Stadium earlier this year. Taking place on 02 December, the star-studded line-up for the concert includes Beyonce, Jay Z, Sho Madjozi, Cassper Nyovest and many more.

“Chris said we are likely to perform it together at the festival. So I am really excited,” she gushed.
