Reputable talent-grooming company On Cue Interface is involved in a nasty battle for money with YFM's DJ Sabby.

YFM's The Best Drive show host DJ Sabby, real name Sabelo Mtshali, has lambasted the popular talent agency for an unpaid invoice for work he did two months ago as a panelist at a radio seminar.

On Cue Interface, previously known as On Cue Communication, has worked with media personalities such as Bonang Matheba, Sydney Mathlaku and Aaron Moloisi.

DJ Sabby first took to his The Best Drive show on Tuesday afternoon when his colleague Carissa Cupido asked him if anyone owes him money.

The radio jock said: "Yes, On Cue Communication. I am coming to your offices tomorrow and I will take that plasma TV if you don't pay me my money."

When contacted by Sowetan, the DJ stood by his words but declined to mention the exact figure owed to him.

"I can't give you a figure but I would not be running over there for R500 or R1000, I was going to write it off, but also it was a commitment. I was supposed to get paid on the day of the event," DJ Sabby said.

"They hosted a radio workshop so they had young people come through to learn about radio . We were there just to share with them how to get into radio," DJ Sabby said.

When contacted for comment, a man who only identified himself as Paul answered the phone. "I freelance here. I knew about the seminar but I was not involved in the planning or payments so I can't help you. Keep trying the office line, you might get help," he said.

The office line later rang unanswered.
