Forget about wedding of the year. It's a year-long wedding for Lebo Gunguluza and his bride Lebo Mokoena.

The flamboyant businessman and reality television star of Dragon's Den fame kicked off the marathon nuptials last weekend at Mokoena's family in Welkom, Free State.

The ceremony was MCd by legendary Lesedi FM presenter Thuso Motaung and author Jackie Phamotse.

Over 400 guests joined the bridal couple as two beasts were slaughtered as per tradition "for the bloodlines" to meet.

Mokoena, a publisher, said: "I was happy that we were surrounded by people who supported us and it was a joy to see the two families celebrating our love."

Gunguluza revealed that there are more celebrations in the pipeline, starting in March with an extravagant white tie engagement party with a James Bond theme at an upmarket Sandton location.

This will be followed by a Xhosa-themed traditional wedding in April, culminating with a lavish destination wedding in Mauritius. He said there would be bridal showers and bachelorette parties thrown in between.

He said they didn't spare a cent to celebrate their enduring love which was rocked by an intimate video of the couple frolicking that was leaked earlier this year.

"We are still going strong. We are proof that love conquers all. We are united and doing great things together. We are committed and enjoy each other and our sex life, but we have learned not to record videos again," he shared.

The wedding will be streamed live on a website created by the Gunguluzas on which well-wishers can RSVP and then watch on their cellphones or laptops, he said.

The wedding has a hashtag, #BeautyandtheDragon, on social media. "We are doing something that has never been done before. It's a year-long celebration..." he said.
