The day has finally come as media mogul Bonang Matheba officially launches a new set of cool emojis fittingly called “Bmojis”.

Speaking exclusively to Sowetan LIVE on Wednesday morning, Matheba reveals that her new business venture was born approximately 15 months ago when she was in Los Angeles.

The same guy that worked on Amber Rose and Blac Chyna’s emoji casually suggested the idea of her being the first African star to have her own emojis. Fast-forward to over a year later and the end-result is the Bmoji by Bonang.

The Bmojis showcases a variety of things that Matheba has been synonymous with over the years ranging from witty remarks, fan-favourite phrases and fashion essentials.

Over a period of time she will be rolling out more emojis and on special dates like Valentine’s Day she will release personalized emojis.

“The emojis are just expressing things that are uniquely and proudly African. Things that Bonang has been known for over the years.  Things like “Bereka Mosadi”, “African Butter”, “Girls with AMG” and more,” Matheba tells Sowetan LIVE.

“I have so many favourites. But right now my favourite one is of me holding my book, which is in store right now. I think it would be interesting to see what emoji people use as they are watching Being Bonang.”

Further extending her reach in the digital space, Matheba will on 24 July launch her own mobile app called Bonang by Cell C. The app will give fans a glimpse of exclusive and intimate content from her reality show, while also offering fashion and beauty tutorials.

A download of the Bmojis will set you back R49.99 on Apple and R39.99 on Android.
