TV personality Uyanda Mbuli and Police Minister Fikile Mbalula's ex-girlfriend Joyce Omphemetse Molamu are embroiled in a love triangle involving a Joburg businessman.

So serious is the cat fight that Mbuli opened a case of defamation and crimen injuria against Molamu at the Midrand police station last week.

Molamu also intends to open a case of intimidation against Mbuli after she allegedly threatened her in their squabble over King Maseko.

Police spokesman Mmakgomo Semono confirmed that Mbuli had opened a case but it was commuted to a case of intimidation which they are investigating.

"The case is no longer crimen injuria and defamation but intimidation. There has not been any arrest as yet because the case has not yet been assigned to an investigating officer.

"Once that has been done, the officer will engage with the suspect to take her statement," Semono said.
