Actress and comedian Tumi Morake's voice is featured in an animated production called The Safari Comedy Show.

The show will be flighted on Boomerang, channel 302 on DStv ,on July 17 from 8am on weekdays and with repeats on weekends. Since it is a story of wild animals, Morake portrays different animals, from monkeys, seals and warthogs to cheetahs.

The Safari Comedy Show is a series of one-minute, short-scripted shows that look at the daily lives of some of Africa's most humorous animals.

Morake explained that young audiences will certainly enjoy the show because it was done in a familiar accent.

"The show is a series of funny stories about animals," Morake said.

"Some of the animals complain about each other and the young ones will definitely find it funny.

"I am so excited to be part of this production. What makes it unique is that the accent is not American. It is an exciting and funny show."

Morake said it was tricky to play different animals because she constantly had to change her voice.

She said she agreed to be part of the show because she was a big fan of cartoons, her favourite being Tom and Jerry.

The Safari Comedy Show also features the voice of Eric Omondi, a Kenyan stand-up comedian and former international footballer. Morake is also appearing on The Queen on Mzansi Magic, channel 161, as Dolly.
