Actress Gail Mabalane opened up about having to deal with the death of her mother‚ brother and father by remembering her mother’s strength and acknowledging her feelings.

Gail‚ who is married to Kabelo Mabalane‚ opened up about losing her mother‚ her brother and then her father and how she coped because of the role her mother played in her life.

She explained to Anele on Real Talk With Anele that her mother ‚ who passed away when she was 21‚ had taught her many life lessons without even saying a word.

“My mom and my brother’s [deaths] were actually six months apart. You can not even begin to express.... but I think the whole learning and having watched her [her mother] and how she rises after she is knocked down ministered to me‚” she said.

Gail said that she learnt to become “aware” of her feelings and she “kept getting up” because she was “in touch” with herself.

“…I kept getting up‚ but I think every now and then you have to just touch base with yourself‚” she said.

She spoke of the importance of not “sweeping things under the rug” and how she will always “miss” her mother but is convinced that her presence is there for her.

Gail added that she would love her daughter to learn from her‚ the same way she learned just by watching her mother live.
