Coke Studio brings you an enthralling international fusion which is set to end season 2 on a high note. American R& B sensation Trey Songz has been confirmed as this year’s Coke Studio international superstar who will be collaborating with renowned local hip-hop star Emtee.

Trey‚ who will be jetting into Nairobi this September‚ is set to record at Coke Studio Nairobi and perform live alongside artists from eleven participating countries‚ including Emtee.

“I have always been committed to spending time on the continent of Africa yearly. My fans show me so much love when I’m there. I can’t wait to visit Kenya and partner with the Coca-Cola Company on this initiative. I am fortunate to be working with some of Africa’s biggest stars. I look forward to learning from them‚ making a lot of new friends as I discover what they have to offer‚” said Trey in a statement.

Some of the other select African stars scheduled to perform with Trey are Nyashinski (Kenya)‚ Vanessa Mdee (Tanzania)‚ Stonebwoy (Ghana) and Neyma (Mozambique).

Meanwhile‚ house music producer DJ Maphorisa will be responsible for producing this collaboration between Trey and the African artists.

“I have had the opportunity to work with many great artists from all over the world and am very excited to be collaborating with such a talented artist. I believe that we will be making something truly special together and am happy that we are able to share our amazing African sounds with the world in this way‚” he said‚ ahead of this hotly-anticipated fusion.

Trey will feature in the finale (episode 13) of Coke Studio‚ which is scheduled to air on 19 November 2016 at 6:05pm on e.tv.
