A day before voters take to the polls in what has been billed as one of the most highly contested municipal elections in democratic South Africa‚ celebrities are urging citizens to put pen to paper and vote.

“We live in a country where we know we need things. We know that the government should be delivering things to us‚” says Gareth Cliff.

Speaking to TMG Entertainment at the launch of Touch Central‚ Cliff said that South Africans all have a role to play.

“We can’t do this all on our own. But we can do it together. And if you don’t go and vote I think you are counting yourself out of whatever happens afterwards.”
